Parkway Lane River Cabins are located across the river from the famous Biltmore Estate known for its majestic beauty. The river is the French Broad River which bears the distinction of being thethird oldest river in the world. The amount of thriving wildlife encounter on a regular basis at Parkway Lane can include deer, beaver, river otter, wild geese, ducks, and heron. It is speculated that this area is home to the largest Great Blue Heron population in the world.
The river is a premiere recreation spot providing the perfect location for rafting, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and fishing. Guests at Parkway Lane have tubes, fishing poles, golf clubs (wedges) & golf balls available to them at no additional fee. Kayaking & rafting trips can be arranged for additional fee. The three hole five acre golf course is for the practice of wedge shots.
Guests who enjoy hiking or biking will enjoy the N.C. Arboretum trails only two miles from Parkway Lane. This is also the location to the entrance of the Blue Ridge Parkway an experience no visitor should miss.
Also, only Two miles from Parkway Lane is Biltmore Park Town Square filled with shops, great restaurants, and entertainment venues.
